Notes

Ref. 3361Presented at the Swiss National Exhibition in Zurich in 1939.This asymmetric Rolex Prince wristwatch bears an escutcheon in relief to allow for the engraving of a monogram atthe bottom of the dial, where the small seconds should be. When looking at the watch in profile, one sees that the topand the bottom of the case are not the same thickness. This model has never been made in stainless steel and is called 'Aerodynamic' as in advertisements from 1940.A similar watch is published in 'Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches', by OSVALDO PATRIZZI, GUIDO MONDANI Editore,Genova, 1998, pp. 36, 37, and 38.
