Notes

Circa 1000 examples of this watch were manufactured from 1949 to 1952, in 18K yellow or pink gold, as well as some models in stainless steel. Very few examples are known with diamond indexes on the dial. This reference is called "Padellone" by Italian collectors. Similar watches are published in "Collecting Rolex Wristwatches", by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore, Genova, 2001, pp. 68 to 71 and 94.
