Notes

This watch is the first version of the "Submariner" watch, launched in 1953. The present watch bears the Mercedes hands. The Submariner without winder-guard is called `James Bond" by collectors. Similar watches are published in Collezionare Orologi da Polso Rolex, Edition 1998, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore, Genova, p. 234.
