So-called "Paul Newman" Rolex, Cosmograph "Daytona", Ref. 6239 with steel bezel. Made circa 1970. Fine and rare, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer and a stainless steel Oyster bracelet.
C. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case backand crown, tachometer graduation on the bezel to 200 units perhour. D. Bi-colored black and matte silver with applied steelindexes and tritium-coated dots, subsidiary flinqué dials for theseconds, 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outer red minute/seconds track. Tritium-coated steel "bâton" hands. M. Cal. 722,rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement,monometallic balance adjusted to three positions, shockabsorber,self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, Microstellaregulating screws.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 37 mm. Thickness 14 mm.
