The Turn-O-Graph is launched in 1953. The reference 1625 belongs to the third generation, once the Turn-O-Graph has joined the Datejust collection. It was produced roughly from 1959 to 1977. In the late 1950’s, the model is better known with its nickname « Thunderbird », due to the order from the US Air Force to Rolex. Here the yellow gold bi-directionnal bezel enhances the classic design of the Rolex Datejust.
