Produced from 1971 to 1984, the Orange Hand Explorer had initially been designed for explorers needing the large hand to tell the time in difficult lighting conditions. This example, preserved in excellent condition with no service marks in the caseback and a thick case, is among the last batches of 1655’s made as its serial places it around 1983 and the reference was discontinued the following year.
