Notes

This attractive example is an exceedingly rare «Ivory Rail Dial» variation of the Explorer II. It was produced in extremely limited quantities during the transitional period between the conclusion of reference 16550 production and the early reference 16570 models, making this example a truly sought-after rarity among discerning collectors.

This exceptional timepiece features a distinctive ivory cream dial, black-surrounded indexes and hands (instead of the standard white gold surrounds), the desirable «rail» text alignment on the dial, and the «fat front bezel.» This rare combination of elements represents one of the most sought-after variants produced during a brief transitional period in the model’s history.
