Made in a limited edition of 30 pieces for the members of the elite French presidential guard, sold in December 2008. Fine, center seconds, self-winding, water resistant to 300 m, stainless steel diver's Chronometer wristwatch with date and a stainless steel Rolex Oyster Fliplock bracelet Ref. 93250. Accompanied by a fitted box, warranty card, booklet, GSPR patch, badge, key ring, flag and a frame including 9 GSPR pins and a book on the GIGN/GSPR/EPIGN elite units.

Three-body, polished and brushed, screw down case back with engraved GSPR logo and crown, graduated unidirectional revolving black bezel for the decompression times, Triplock winding crown protected by the crown guard, sapphire crystal with cyclops lens. Black with applied steel luminous round, GSPR logo, triangular and baton steel indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions, aperture for the date. Luminous white gold skeleton hands. Cal. 3135, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 31 jewels, straight- line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free- sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, hack mechanism.

Part of the extremely limited editions made by ROLEX for special forces/units, Rolex made only 30 pieces of the reference 16610 for the FRENCH PRESIDENTIAL ELITE UNITS called GSPR (Groupe Securite Presidence Republique). Founded in 1983, this special unit in charge of the security of the president and its close relatives in France and abroad, was composed of 50 policemen, 30 military personnel and 30 police officers. Trained in personal security, extraction, combat, shooting and driving, these 30 watches were available only to current GSPR members and delivered through DUBAIL PARIS and it is the first of its kind to appear at auction.
