For 50th anniversary of the Submariner, from 2003 to 2008, Rolex marketed the reference 16610LV, LV referring to the green colour of the bezel and which earned its nickname "Kermit". The wristwatches of this reference produced in the first two years, corresponding to the Y and F series are called "Flat Four". These are the most sought after by amateurs. They owe their nickname to the typography of the 4 on the insert. The flattened shape of the 4 is more elongated than in the successive versions.
