Notes

The Submariners for the Compagnie Maritime d'Expertise, known as COMEX, are iconic diving watches. It was in the early 1960s, in 1963, that a partnership between these two entities was established. When its first hyperbaric centre was built in 1968, COMEX set up a hyperbaric unit and a large modular saturation unit on its site in Marseilles for physiological studies that were adapted to saturation diving under hydrogen at up to 800m.

Approximately 250 watches of ref. 16610 COMEX Submariner were delivered to COMEX between 1990 and 1997. These watches, which had 316 grade steel cases, were upgraded to 904L grade (similar to Ref. 168000), but with the new Caliber 3135. Ref. 16610 featured the latest tritium indexes with a large black dial with COMEX logo.
