Rolex 168000 is one of the shortest productions in Rolex history for only about 9 months between 1988-1989, the reference 168000 is a true rarity among the Submariner family. The difference in comparaison with the 16800 was the change from 316L steel to grade 904L and was quickly stopped and replaced with reference 16610. It is probably the shortest production span of any Submariner.
