18K yellow gold, self-winding, “tonneau”-shaped, diver’s wristwatch with screwed case-back, “triplock” winding-crown protected by the crown guards, 60-minute graduated unidirectional revolving bezel with blue insert for the decompression times, gold colour dial with diamond-set and sapphire-set indexes, centre-seconds and date (3 o’clock). Case-back engraved with the Royal Oman emblem, also known as “Khanjar Crest”.

Launched in 1979, the Ref. 16808 is the first “Submariner” in solid 18K gold with the technical feature of having a sapphire glass unlike its predecessor, the Ref. 1680. Displaying three pristine hallmarks under the lugs, this example has been very well cared for and worn very few times.
Examples featuring the engraving of the famous Omani logo with the sabres on the case-back, such as this one, are extremely rare.
