Notes

The Rolex Submariner was created in 1953 and has undergone numerous technical evolutions over the years and references. Launched in 1979, the Ref. 16808 is the first “Submariner” in solid 18K gold with the technical features of having a sapphire glass and quick date change unlike its predecessor, the Ref. 1680. It will remain in production until 1987.

Displaying three pristine hallmarks under the lugs, this example has been very well cared for and worn very few times. Examples featuring the engraving of the famous Omani logo with the sabers on the case-back, such as this one, are extremely rare.
