C. Two-body, polished and brushed, lapidated bezel and lugs, snap-on case back, domed crystal. D. Black with painted silver-outlined luminous baton indexes, outer silver painted minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Luminous silver painted baton hands. M. Cal. 8???, Ultra Prima, tonneau-shaped, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 6 positions, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed, dial also signed Beyer. Dim. 20 x 36 mm. Thickness 9 mm.

The present watch is a fine example of the Ref. 1879 in stainless steel which is rarely found at auction. This example is further enhanced by the original unrestored black dial bearing the name of Beyer, the famous retailer of Zurich.
