Sold by Bucherer, Geneva on February 10, 2010. Extremely fine and impressive, heavy platinum, center-seconds, self-winding, water- resistant wristwatch set with a total of 113 (approx. 11.37 carats) of baguette white diamonds, day, date and a solid platinum and diamond-set Pearlmaster bracelet with platinum deployant clasp. Accompanied by a Rolex fitted box and Guarantee.

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, inclined bezel set with 42 shaped baguette diamonds, curved lugs, sapphire crystal with cyclops lens. Satine silver with applied white gold radial Roman numerals, outer minutes and seconds divisions, apertures for the day and the date. White gold baton hands. Cal. 3155, rhodium-plated, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, free- sprung monometallic balance adjusted to five positions and temperature, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, quick adjustment of the date and of the day of the week, hack mechanism.

Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 39 mm. THICKNESS 12 mm. Approx. overall length 190 mm. Since its purchase by the present owner new from Bucherer in Geneva, the present watch has obviously not been used and is preserved in excellent, like new condition. Reference 18956BR, one of the most impressive and expensive models of Rolex's current production, was introduced in 2000 and has been made in only very small numbers. The very heavy platinum case and bracelet is set with 113 diamonds totaling just over 11 carats. In 2009 the retail price for this reference was 256,200 Swiss Francs.
