ROLEX REF 3348, LIFE SAVER Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Chronometer, No. 114104, Ref. 3348. Made in the 1930s. Fine and very rare, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel midsized wristwatch with large smooth bezel and an associated stainless steel bracelet.

C. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, wide flat bezel. D. Matte silver with applied steel Arabic numerals and dart indexes, subsidiary guilloche seconds dial. Steel alpha hands. M. Cal. 9 3/4??, rhodium-plated, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Super-balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 29 mm. THICKNESS 12 mm. Approx. overall length 180 mm.

Known as the lifesaver due to its large flat bezel resembling a rescue ring, this particular example has been preserved in mint condition. A perfect chronometer dial, crisp and deep numbers on the outside caseback, Antiquorum has only ever sold one other example of this reference.
