Notes

The Rolex Empire is one of those rare and still under-valued timepiece produced in the 1940's. In the search for ultimate waterproofness, Rolex built solid and rugged watches with large domed casebacks to accommodate the self-winding movement. This particular example is very well preserved with clear case numbers on the caseback as well as a beautiful salmon dial.
