Notes

Purchased new by the family of the consignor, at Philippe Beguin in November 1953, the reference 4099 is unusual by its fancy lugs, its rare 35 mm case size for the time.
Also found in two-tone cases, this all stainless steel version has been kept in excellent overall condition with nice definition to the lugs as well as having the Rolex crown and serial numbers still visible on the outer case which are very often polished off. Amazingly the dial has also reminded in unrestored original condition still showing its blue telemeter scale and preserved with its original stamped warranty. A very well preserved example of the rare reference 4099.
