Notes

Well known by military aficionados, it is well known that the double reference 5513/5517 is one of the most collected with approximately 1200 pieces total between the 3 references (5513, 5513/5517 and 5517)
delivered to the UK special forces.
Bought over 30 years ago by a visionary German collector, this particular example impresses by its overall condition. The case is thick and strong with the correct satin finish to the case, a mint dial and hands and the minute-marked military bezel in excellent condition that has slightly faded.
Despite having the serial correctly repeated in the inner caseback, the outer military assignment numbers have unfortunately been polished through time. Was this intentionally done to hide the military provenance or simply polished out, no one will ever know but this example is one of the nicest double references we have had the pleasure of offering.
