ROLEX REF. 6036 "JEAN CLAUDE KILLY" CHRONOGRAPH PINK GOLD Rolex, "Oyster Chronograph, Anti-magnetic," case No. 847175, Ref. 6036. Made in 1952. Very fine and extremely rare, water-resistant, anti-magnetic, 18K pink gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, triple date calendar and 18K yellow gold Rolex buckle. Accompanied by the original fitted box, guarantee (now void) and instructions.

Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, screw-down case back and crown, inclined bezel, calendar adjusters in the band. Two-tone silver with applied pink gold pyramidal indexes and Rolex logo at 12, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-second Arabic markers, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outer blue painted graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week and the months. Pink gold alpha hands. Cal. 72C, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator.

Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 36 mm. THICKNESS 14 mm. Offered in excellent overall condition the case retains strong hallmarks and light oxidation to the gold around the calendar adjusters from prolonged storage. The two-tone dial retains its original characteristics while taking on an attractive and even patina, presenting the collector with one of ROLEX's rarest complications in original condition within a pink gold case. It is recognized only 170 examples of the REF. 6036 were produced in yellow gold and 144 in pink gold. Rolex's ANTIMAGNETIC CHRONOGRAPH with triple date in OYSTER cases were produced with minor dial and hand variations over 4 different references: REF. 4767, from 1948 to 1951: REF. 5036, from 1951 to 1955: REF 6036, from 1955 to 1958: REF. 6236, from 1958 to 1962.
