Notes

Introduced in 1953, this 6150 represents the first examples of the famous Explorer made famous by the first ascent of the Everest in May of the same year. Known to many collectors as the Pre-Explorer due to the fact that the dial is signed Precision and only officially become the Explorer on the following reference 6350. Stamped IV. 1953, this 6150 has been kept in excellent overall condition, showing a thick case with sharp lugs, crisp numbers between the lugs and a very well conserved dial, a milestone in the development of the Rolex Explorer.
