Three-body, polished and brushed, screw-down case back, screw-down Twinlock crown, polished inclined bezel. Satine silver with applied faceted yellow gold baton indexes and luminous dots, sunk subsidiary guilloché dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. Luminous yellow gold baton hands. Cal. 722, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to three positions, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws.

Known to collectors as the pre-daytona and made exclusively for the American market in 14k gold, this present example has been maintained in excellent condition. Serviced by Rolex in NY in 2007 as indicated by the service mark inside the caseback, it has a wonderful thick case and nice hallmarks on the underside of both lugs.
