ROLEX REF. 6238 PRE-DAYTONA FUERZA AEREA DEL PERU STEEL Rolex, Chronograph, case No.1226265, Ref. 6238. Made circa 1965 for the "Fuerza Aerea del Peru". Fine and very rare, manual-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachymeter and a stainless steel Rolex bracelet. Accompanied by service paper and pouch.

Three-body, polished and brushed, curved lugs, inclined bezel, screwed-down case back with engraved: FUERZA AEREA DEL PERU. Black with applied steel baton indexes and luminous dots, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outer 1/5th seconds track and tachymeter scale to 1000 UPH. Luminous steel baton hands. Cal.72B, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance with screws, adjusted to three positions, shock absorber, self-compensating over-coiled balance spring, Microstella regulating screws.
