Notes

The reference 6239 was the first reference to feature the so-called Paul Newman dial. Just like the John Player Special version, the three color black dial is probably the most attractive configuration. The bridge stamped with 5 lines appeared in the caliber 722 and would become the standard until the end of the manual Daytona production.
This example has been very well maintained still showing a thick case, a very well preserved dial showing no visible defects, all lume dots still in place and amazingly comes with its warranty dated 1970 from Charles Reeves in Dorchester where at the back where overhauls can be recorded, the case number is stamped.
