The reference 6239 was the first reference to feature the so-called Paul Newman dial. Just like the John Player Special version, the three color black dial is probably the most attractive configuration. The bridge stamped with 5 lines appeared in the caliber 722 and would become the standard until the end of the manual Daytona production. The stainless steel bezel used on references 6239, 6262 and 6265 were engraved and filled with black paint.
