Notes

Known to collectors as the “Albino” Daytona, this Daytona 6239 dial was probably made as a test dial to experiment a different color from the regular production silver and black dials made at the time.
Visually the impact is striking after having seen so many two-coloured dials, this monochromatic dial color completely changes the overall look of the watch. One can only assume that after testing them internally, it was abandoned and these rare test dials were discarded.
Only one other example has been seen publicly (See Ultimate Rolex Daytona by Pucci Papaleo, page 201) and this example has never been offered before at auction.

Please note that the watch is currently at Rolex, Atelier de Restoration in Geneva for an overhaul estimate that has been confirmed and will be available for pick-up around June 2021.
