Notes

Simultaneously launched, the Rolex ref. 6263 and ref. 6265 were introduced at the beginning of the 1970’s. Both were meant to replace the previous references 6262 and 6264. The chronograph’s screwed push-pieces on the case-band brought an essential improvement: the waterproofness at 50 metres.

Produced from 1971 to 1988, the Ref. 6265 is well known for its “sports look”, with the famous smooth bezel with tachymeter scale. Here, is presented the luxury version in18K yellow gold case and bracelet, with a beautiful “Champagne” "Paul Newman" dial. According to specialists, in a run of approximately 1’300 pieces, the Ref. 6265, 18K yellow gold version, has been produced approximately in 750 pieces. In this configuration, with an exotic dial so-called "Paul Newman", in reference to the famous eponymous actor, this watch is exceptionnally rare.
