Notes

Almost unknown to the collectors community until recently, this example of a very early reference 6263 could almost be considered as a prototype. It is interesting to note that it has a very early serial number that actually precedes some of the earlier models, notably references 6262 and 6264 (the last versions of the pump pushers). The first characteristic are the white graphics in the sub-counters which are usually of golden color which adds great contrast and legibility to the dial. Secondly and more importantly the dial has a unique coloration with a much stronger yellow hue compared to the much softer regular cream color. In almost mint condition with deep punchmarks, this has to be the rarest and most coveted Daytona to have ever appeared on the market.
