Notes

The Rolex Daytona 6263 18K yellow gold version is a highly sought-after and valuable timepiece in the world of vintage watches. Produced from 1970 until 1987, the last series of manual-winding Daytonas (references 6263/6265) was the longest-running until the introduction of the new automatic version, reference 16520.While approximately 20,000 examples were made in 17 years, it is estimated that about 10% of the production was dedicated to the 14k and 18k gold versions.

The 6263 model stood out with its distinctive black acrylic bezel, a feature that many collectors and enthusiasts found more visually appealing than the metal bezel variant. This aesthetic choice contributed significantly to its desirability in the vintage watch market.

This exceptional timepiece, never before offered on the market, comes from a Hong Kong collector who treasured it for over three decades. It retains its original 18K yellow gold Rolex 7205 riveted bracelet and 71 endlinks, a detail highly prized by collectors. The dial remains in excellent condition with some oxidation, speaks to its authenticity and age. For vintage watch aficionados.
