Notes

The present Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 6263 is a quintessential example of the screw-down pusher Cosmograph, here fitted with a Rolex service small-red dial featuring the compact red Daytona inscription positioned above the hour totalizer, accompanied by matching service hands. Powered by the caliber 727, the final and most technically advanced evolution of Rolex’s manually wound chronograph movements, the watch’s movement number falls within the expected range for early screw-down 6263 production, reinforcing its period correctness.

The watch retains the highly desirable MK3 acrylic bezel, distinguished by its characteristic numeral style and accurate late-production layout. This bezel type is particularly appreciated by collectors for its authenticity and alignment with the reference’s historical development. The Oyster case preserves the strong geometry and functional strength that have come to define the 6263, a model long regarded as one of the most iconic vintage chronographs of the twentieth century.

The service small-red dial and service hands present a configuration that remains fully consistent with Rolex’s maintenance standards, preserving the spirit and aesthetic identity of the original model while reflecting the brand’s longstanding philosophy of technical integrity. Offered with its matching Oyster bracelet, the present example stands as an appealing and mechanically robust representation of one of Rolex’s most celebrated vintage chronograph references, uniting historical relevance with enduring charm.
