ROLEX 6264 DAYTONA PAUL NEWMAN Rolex, "Cosmograph, Daytona", case No. 2357353, Ref. 6264/6241. Made circa 1967. Very rare and fine, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, anti-reflective black bezel with tachometer graduated to 200UPH and an 18K yellow gold Rolex buckle.

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, tachometer graduation on the anti-reflective black bezel to 200 units per hour. Bi-color black and champagne with applied luminous square gold indexes, outer minute/seconds division, subsidiary black dials for the seconds, 12-hour and 30-minute register. Luminous yellow gold "bâton" hands. Cal. 727, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring.

Reference 6264 is considered one of the rarest of the "Paul Newman" references; it was used for only a two years, and was a transitional model between the references 6263 and 6241, with round push buttons, and the references 6263 and 6265, with screw- down push buttons, and still had a round push button.
