Launched as the same time as the ref. 6263, Rolex ref. 6265 were introduced at the beginning of the 1970’s. Both weremeant to replace the previous references, such as 6262 and 6264. The chronograph’s screwed push-pieces on thecase-band brought an essential improvement: the waterproofness at 50 metres. Produced from 1971 to 1988, the Ref.6265 is well known for its “sport-look”, with the famous smooth bezel with tachymeter scale. According to specialists,in a run of 1’300 pieces, the Ref. 6265 18K yellow gold version, such as this one, has been produced approximately in750 pieces.
