With a charming Italian nickname,
“Ovettone” (translating to “Big
Egg” in English), this Rolex model
comes in a large case size and a domed
caseback which is particularly pronounced
if you look at the watch from the side. The
technical reason for the dome caseback
was to accommodate for the thickness of
the self-winding movement. The stunning
jubilee bracelet presents a rare clasp with
the so-called Rolex “Big Logo”.
