Made during a short period from 1955 to 1959, the reference 6536-1 was made in far fewer numbers than its sister 5508 version that followed. Although very similar in look, the 6536 and 6536-1 vary in dial diameter as well as the movement that was offered as a chronometer. Featuring a low serial number as well as its original gilt dial and its characteristic small crown, these early Submariners are still much appreciated by collectors.
