Notes

Known as the small crown, these early Submariners went through quite a few variations as Rolex was testing different cases, dials, bezels, depth resistance and therefore were often only produced during short periods. This definitely applies to the 6536-1 which was only produced during about 4 years from 1955 to 1959 and was an improved version of its predecessor reference 6536 by having a chronometer movement featuring 25 jewels (it was also the last model to "only" be resistant to 100m).
Recently discovered in Norway after an inheritance, this example has been left in "as found" condition (original bezel has been lost), but still has a strong case, a beautiful original chapter ring dial that has turned tropical (reacts strongly to the Geiger counter) and its original hands. A rare opportunity to find such an untouched example that with a little work would become an outstanding piece.
