ROLEX REF 6536 SUBMARINER “SMALL CROWN” The Rolex 6536 is one of the earliest and rarest Submariner models. It was introduced in 1955 and stops the production in 1956. It was transitional model, with extremely short production time, possibly only around hundred were made. . The present 6536 is in excellent condition with crisp and sharp edge case, powered by the Cal. 1030, features a 6mm small crown, gold color print dial with 100m=330ft and silvered triangle on the aluminum black bezel, even more impressive for the case was originally destined to be Rolex 6538, both original reference numbers, featured between the lugs and inside the case back, were corrected at the time of manufacture at the Rolex workshops. Whereas the last digit of "6538" between the lugs was crossed out and replaced by a "6", the entire stamped "6538" inside the case back was triple crossed out and stamped with number, "6536". The beautiful glossy gilt dial consider as a very early service dial, which come with gold color print letter and chapter ring.
