Notes

The Rolex Tru-Beat reference 6556 was created for doctors to allow a more accurate reading of patients' pulse rates. The caliber 1040, is the only Rolex
watch equipped with a "dead-beat" second mechanism that advances the second hand only once per second. The ‘Tru-Beat’ mechanism was truly
different than anything offered on the market. This reference was produced predominantly in stainless steel, with only very few examples in pink or yellow
gold. Often converted to regular seconds, this example has kept its rare dead-beat seconds mechanism that makes this example desirable today.
