Notes

Provenance Antiquorum, Geneva, June 14, 2003, lot 99, sold for the amount of CHF 20 700.- Rolex Reference 6613 Day-Date This reference is extremely rare. Only one example can be found in literature, which is published by John Goldberger in 100 Superlative Rolex Watches. In his book, the watch illustrated is fitted with dial's numerals and calendar apertures in Arabic script. Very few other references 6613 can be found offered on the international auction market, which highlights the rarity and importance of the present watch. To the best of our knowledge, we listed: Antiquorum, Geneva, June 14, 2003, lot 99, sold for the amount of CHF 20 700.- (the present lot). Christie's, Geneva, May 16, 2005, lot 68, sold for the amount of CHF 33 600.- (with numerals and calendar apertures in Arabic script and a platinum Rolex President bracelet). Sotheby's, Geneva, May 17, 2005, lot 158, sold for the amount of CHF 24 000.- (the bezel without diamonds but with a platinum Rolex President bracelet). Phillips, Hong Kong, May 31, 2016, lot 201, sold for the amount of HKD 275 000.- (the dial signed Duaij but in poor condition).
