ROLEX REF 6239 COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA STEEL Rolex, "Cosmograph Daytona" case No. 1597196, Ref. 6239. Made in 1970, sold January 30th, 1971. Very fine and rare, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer and a stainless steel Oyster bracelet Ref. 78350. Accompanied by the original fitted box and certificate (now void).

Three-body, polished and brushed, tachometer graduation on the steel bezel to 300 units per hour, screwed down case back and winding crown. Bicolor silver and black with applied steel baton indexes and luminous dots, outer 1/5th seconds track, subsidiary guilloche dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. Luminous steel baton hands. Cal. 722, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws. Dial, case and movement signed.
