Notes

Property of an Important Watch Collector

The Patek Philippe Reference 96 is the definitive «blueprint» for the Calatrava line and arguably the ultimate dress watch. Launched as Patek Philippe’s first serially produced wristwatch, it was also the landmark model that introduced Patek Philippe’s iconic numbered reference system. Heavily influenced by the Bauhaus movement, the design emphasizes minimalism, legibility, and function. Its compact 30.5mm size is a key part of its vintage charm.

The case of the present example remains crisp hallmarks, while the dial is preserved in exquisite state. Notably, the caseback still retains its Patek Philippe service stickers from a 2002 overhaul. This confirms the watch has remained unworn in the hands of a private collector, for over two decades. Preserved as a true historical treasure, it remains in an exceptional state of preservation rarely seen today.

Offered in pristine condition, this Reference 96 is a rare opportunity for a collector to own a remarkable piece of horological history.
