ROSKELL, MINUTE REPEATING WITH INDEPENDANT CENTER-SECONDS GOLD Rob Roskell, Liverpool, No. 65108. Made circa 1870. Very fine and very rare, minute-repeating, hunting cased, keyless 18K gold pocket watch with independent center-seconds.
Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel hands. 40 mm., frosted gilt, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature and mean time adjustment screws, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Case, dial and Movement.
