LARDET PERPETUAL CALENDAR YELLOW GOLD Charles Edouard Lardet, Fleurier, Swiss, No. 4045. Made circa 1880. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold hunting cased, pocket watch with perpetual calendar and moon phase.
Four body, "bassine et filets", engine-turned with polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months of the leap-year cycle, the dates and the seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Blued steel halberd hands. 18"', matte gilt brass, three-quarter plate, jeweled to the third wheel with screwed gold chatons, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed.
