UNA & THE LION - GOLD, ENAMEL & PEARL PENDANT WATCH Swiss. Made circa 1890. Very fine and elegant, Renaissance style 18K gold, painted on enamel, pearl and diamond-set lady's keyless pendant watch.

Four-body, oval with enameled scalloped decoration, beaded band, scroll terminals, the lower set with five rose-cut diamonds, the upper articulated for the winding crown and with pearl-set suspension loop, hinged and sprung front cover finely painted on enamel with Una and the Lion, graduated pearl-set border, the interior with glazed aperture for a photograph, hinged back cover with a finely painted on enamel scene of three children on a mossy bank against the night sky. Hinged gold cuvette. Oval white enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blue Arabic five-minute numerals. Blued steel spade hands. 28 x 23 mm., oval, matte gilt, 8 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, cylinder escapement, plain three arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
