MINUTE-REPEATING TRIPLE CALENDAR & CHRONOGRAPH - YELLOW GOLD Swiss, "Répétition Minutes Chronographe Triple Quantieme Phases de Lune", case No. 165435. Made circa 1890. Fine, large, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with triple-date calendar, chronograph and moon phases.
Four-body, bassine, polished, olive-shaped button at 2 for the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with prize medals. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second divisions, subsidiary seconds dial and date dial, apertures for the days of the week, months and moon phases. Gilt Louis XV hands. Cal. 20''', frosted gilt, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, centrifugal governor, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a push-button on the band. Case numbered.
