18TH CENTURY STYLE SILVER WATCH WITH MOON PHASE Sykes & Ingram, Heckmondwike (Yorkshire, England), No. 41130. The case with London hallmarks for 1876-7, made in the style of the early 18th century. Unusual silver-cased pocket watch with 24-hour sector dial and moon phases.

Three-body, bassine et filets, polished, reeded band, the back with vacant cartouche. Fixed silver cuvette with winding aperture. Cast silver with sector for 24-hours in Roman numerals VI - XII twice, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, aperture for the moon phases. Gilt baton hand. 42 mm., matte gilt, fusee and chain, lateral lever escapement, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, engraved single-foot balance cock, index regulator on the backplate. Movement signed.
