PATEK PHILIPPE FOR TIFFANY FIVE-MINUTE REPEATER POCKET WATCH YELLOW GOLD Patek Philippe & Co., Genève, No. 78329, retailed and cased by Tiffany & Co. Made in 1888, sold as a movement in 1889. Fine and rare, keyless, five-minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold pocket watch. Accompanied by a copy of the Patek Philippe registers confirming the sale to Tiffany in 1889 for CHF 319.37.
Four-body, bassine, polished, concealed hinge. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel breguet hands. 17```, one-quarter-plate caliber, nickel, 29 jewels, wolf`s tooth winding, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan- neck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
