LINER NOTES I had photographed Ray many times. My assistant always recorded new music for our shoots so that both the crew and subjects were entertained. This particular day he had found some early Ray recordings. Ray was blown away by how obscure it was, and reacted in the photo to hearing some of his old musician friends on the record. - Timothy White
