The Tudor Ref. 7924 Submariner, so-called ‘Big Crown’, was launched in 1958. It came with an oversized crown of 8mm (regular size was 6mm), which was specially designed for divers’ handy usage in diving suits. On the crown you can see the word ‘BREVET’ (patented, in French), and the Rolex coronet, which is same with the Rolex Ref. 6538. This exceptional example in limited production with tropical gilt dial, golden text and chapter ring, is another ‘It’-watch among collectors.
