Ulysse Nardin, Locle, Swiss, No. 121951, case No. 611926, made for the British Navy, May 1942. Fine silver keyless deck watch with centre seconds, in the original mahogany box.

C. Three piece, massive, " bassine et filets", polished, the screwed back with milled border engraved with the Navy Registration Number. Double body mahogany deck box, the brass bowl with glazed screwed bezel. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute and seconds ring. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 22"', frosted and gilt, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and micrometric index. Signed on the dial, case and movement. Accompanied by Extrait des Registres. Diam. 56 mm.

Such deck watches were usually designed to be used in their mahogany box and were therefore fitted with a bezel without glass. This watch is one of the few examples which could he also used out of its deck box.
