"Quarter-Repeating & Chronograph" Ulysse Nardin, Locle, Suisse, No. 11760. Made circa 1920. Fine, hunting-cased, keyless, quarter-repeating, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with chronograph.
C. Four-body, "bassine", solid, polished, the front cover with a blue and white champlevé enamel monogram "CVC", the interior with engraved dedication. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute and fifths of a second chronograph divisions calibrated from 0-300, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 42 mm., 19''', rhodium-plated, 35 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, visible chronograph mechanism, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 53 mm.
